Best Women’s Padel Rackets: What Actually Differs

How we grade, and how we make money. None of the rackets on this page carries a PadelGrade Score — the women’s versions of the frames we have graded have not been reviewed by five independent sources, and our method does not allow a score without them. What follows is British price, average owner rating, sample size and the manufacturer’s own declared weight. If you buy through a link we may earn a commission.

The honest answer first: a women’s padel racket is usually the same frame, about 18 grams lighter, in a different colourway. We checked. Bullpadel’s Vertex 04 W is declared at 352 g against 370 g for the standard Vertex 04. The Elite W is also 352 g. That is the difference.

Which means two things. If a lighter frame suits you, these are good rackets. And if a lighter frame suits you, any lighter frame will do — including ones that are not marketed to women and sometimes cost less.

What the W actually means

ClaimTrue?Detail
LighterYesTypically 350–355 g against 365–375 g. A real and measurable 15–20 g.
Lower balanceUsuallyFollows from removing mass, mostly at the head. Rarely published as a figure.
Softer coreSometimesDepends on the model. Check the core name, not the colour.
Larger sweet spotOnly if the shape changedSweet spot is set by shape. A W version of a diamond is still a diamond.
Different coloursAlwaysThe one guaranteed difference.
“Designed for women”MarketingThe engineering change is weight. Weight is not sex-specific.

So who should buy one? Anyone who wants a 350 g frame — which includes plenty of men, most juniors, and anyone managing an elbow or shoulder. And anyone who wants a 370 g frame should ignore the label entirely, whoever they are. Weight is the spec; the label is a shelf.

Six models, one brand. That is not our preference — it is what the British market looks like. Of the nine women’s-labelled frames with both a price and a meaningful rating count in our Amazon UK data, six are Bullpadel. Nobody else is really competing in this segment here.

1. Bullpadel Indiga W 25 — £69.79, the sensible pick

4.5 across 32 ratings. The Indiga is Bullpadel’s round, forgiving platform, and the W version applies the weight reduction to a frame that was already easy to use. If this is a first or second racket, this is the one on the page to buy.

2. Bullpadel Woman Game — £54.90, the cheapest

4.6 across 34 ratings, and the largest sample on this page. An entry frame at an entry price, and a perfectly reasonable first racket. Compare it against the ungendered options in best padel rackets for beginners before buying — several of those are the same money with more evidence behind them.

3. Bullpadel Vertex 04 W — £133.23 (2025) or £141.75 (2024)

The lightweight version of the highest-scoring frame in our database. The standard Vertex 04 scores 9.0 — power 89, forgiveness 74 — and is the only diamond we have graded that forgives a mishit without giving up smash speed.

The W is that geometry at 352 g. It is still a diamond, so it still has a high, small sweet spot: the weight change makes it easier to swing, not easier to hit. Buy it if you already play at the net and finish points; do not buy it because it is lighter.

Note the pricing: the 2024 model is dearer than the 2025 one, at £141.75 against £133.23, and has the better rating on a larger sample. Check both.

4. Bullpadel Elite W 25 — £128.00

4.3 across 15 ratings, declared at 352 g. Gemma Triay’s platform, built around control rather than power — a Fibrix face over a MultiEVA core. A genuine step up from the Indiga for a player who builds points, and a small sample to judge it on.

5. Bullpadel Flow Light Women — £75.15

4.6 across 17 ratings. The Flow is Bullpadel’s comfort-oriented line and the Light Women version is the softest, easiest frame the brand makes. The right pick if your arm is the constraint rather than your technique.

When to ignore the label entirely

Three situations, and they cover most people:

  1. You want 365 g. Then buy a 365 g racket. The graded ranking is in best padel rackets and the W versions are not in it.
  2. You want a light frame and better evidence. The Head Zephyr UL is £87.89 with 58 ratings at 4.8, is not marketed to anyone in particular, and is the lightest frame we list anywhere — see best padel rackets for beginners.
  3. You want the cheapest sensible racket. Several ungendered frames under £60 carry samples in the hundreds rather than the tens — see best budget padel rackets. Sample size is the one thing a marketing label cannot supply.

What weight and balance actually do, and why 15 grams is worth less than people think, is in padel racket weight.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a women’s padel racket and a normal one?

Usually weight and colour. The women’s versions of the frames we checked are declared at 352 g against 370 g for the standard model — about 18 grams — and the shape, face and core are otherwise the same.

Do women need a different padel racket?

No. What some players need is a lighter racket, and that applies regardless of who is holding it. A 350 g frame suits plenty of men, most juniors and anyone managing an elbow.

What weight padel racket should a woman use?

The same answer as for anyone: 350–365 g for most adults, 340–355 g if you find a standard frame slow to the volley or your arm complains. Balance matters more than the number.

Are women’s padel rackets cheaper?

Not systematically. On this page they run from £54.90 to £141.75, which is the same spread as the ungendered market, and in one case the older model costs more than the newer one.

What is the best padel racket for a woman beginner?

A round, soft, light frame. The Bullpadel Indiga W at £69.79 fits, and so do several rackets on our beginners list that carry far larger owner samples for the same money.
