Bullpadel Neuron: Score, Specs & Is It a Control Racket?

How we grade, and how we make money. We don’t play-test rackets. We aggregate specialist reviews, video analysis, verified owner ratings and manufacturer specs into one comparable score, and we list every source at the bottom of this page. If you buy through a link here we may earn a commission, which never affects a grade: the score is locked before any link is added.

Fede Chingotto’s frame grades 8.6, and it is the racket our sources disagree about most. Tolerance ratings span 3.0 points, power spans 2.1, and four reviewers use four different words for its shape. Owners, meanwhile, are almost unanimous: 4.6 out of 5 across 75 ratings.

That gap between what reviewers argue about and what owners report is the story of this racket, and it has a straightforward explanation.

The short version

The Neuron is Bullpadel’s control frame: a hybrid teardrop of 365–375 g with an X-Tend Carbon 3K face and a multi-density core. Where the Hack 04 is built to end points, this one is built to construct them — control comes out at 8.6 and power at 7.7, the reverse of its stablemate.

What most sources single out is stability rather than any single strength: the PrismLock internal frame resists twisting on off-centre contact, which is why defenders score it as highly as hybrids do.

How it scored

DimensionScoreWhat the sources say
Power7.7Sources disagree by 2.1 points — 6.6 to 8.7.
Control8.6The most consistent dimension. All four scoring sources between 8.0 and 9.3.
Forgiveness7.5Widest disagreement in our database: 3.0 points, from 6.0 to 9.0.
Comfort7.2Better than the Hack, though the RA 68 stiffness draws warnings.

Why the sources disagree so much: there are four Neurons

Look at what each source actually reviewed: the Neuron 25, the Neuron 02 2026, the Neuron 02 Edge and the base Neuron. Those are not colourways. And the search results above this page make the same mistake — the top two shop listings are selling two different variants, one the Neuron 02 and the other the 02 Edge, without flagging the difference.

VariantWhat it isOwner ratings
Neuron 25The 2025 base model, 370 g53 ratings, 4.7/5 — by far the most reviewed
Neuron 022026 revision, Chingotto signature6 ratings, 5/5
Neuron 02 Edge2026 variant, stiffer setup5 ratings, 5/5
Neuron CloudSofter, lighter version9 ratings, 3.5/5 — the weakest of the family

Our reading: the 9.0 tolerance figure comes from a review of the base Neuron; the 6.0 comes from a source assessing the range more broadly. Both are describing something real. If you want the forgiving version, the Neuron 25 is the one with 53 owner ratings at 4.7 — the safest evidence base of the four by some distance.

And the Cloud, at 3.5 out of 5, is the one variant we would avoid on the current data.

Four sources, four shapes

Something we keep finding, and here it reaches its peak: this racket is described as drop, tear, hybrid and round by four different sources. Balance is 255 mm and head-light according to one, “even” according to another.

Our reading: hybrid teardrop with a slightly head-light balance. The “round” label almost certainly belongs to a different variant. When a category is this loosely policed, the only spec worth trusting is the one on the manufacturer’s datasheet — which is exactly why specs are 20% of our score and reviewer opinion is 35%.

Who it’s for

  • Buy it if you construct rallies, defend well and win points through placement.
  • Buy the Neuron 25 specifically — it has ten times the owner evidence of any other variant, at 4.7 out of 5.
  • Don’t buy it if you want a finishing weapon: power is 7.7 and deliberately so. And despite the control label, the RA 68 stiffness means it is not an arm-protective frame — if that is your priority, look at the Nox ML10 Pro Cup. See also the best padel rackets ranking.

Verdict

8.6 — but the number matters less than which Neuron you buy

The widest source disagreement of any racket here, and the cause is not the reviewers: there are four Neurons and almost nobody says which one they played. Pick the version before you read anyone’s verdict.

What sources agree on
  • Control is its purpose and it delivers — the most consistent dimension across sources
  • Excellent stability on off-centre contact thanks to the PrismLock frame
  • Strong in defence, with what one source calls a “dry touch” that kills pace
  • CustomWeight adjustment of ±12 g meaningfully shifts the balance
What they don’t, or complain about
  • Tolerance: 3.0 points apart, the widest gap we have recorded
  • Power: 2.1 points apart, from 6.6 to 8.7
  • Its shape: four sources, four different labels
  • Stiffness at RA 68 undercuts the comfort you would expect from a control racket
